I am Luzi, I am a travel addict and exploring the world has been my happy place ever since I can remember. I would love to share my journeys with you and inspire you to find your own happy places, moments and people.
I’d describe my way of travelling as backpacking with the occasional luxury. I like hostels, partly because they are easy on my budget. But also because I love meeting people from all over the world and making last minutes changes to my plans when I hear about first hand adventures from fellow travelers. However, I have to admit that I prefer the double room experience over a crowded 8-bed dorm. And I enjoy spending my money on extras like paragliding, a nice snorkeling trip or surf & yoga lessons.
I love nature. Spending time on the beach, snorkeling and making my way to hidden waterfalls is definitely the way to go for me. From my point of view the best way to get in touch with nature and really soak it all in is hiking, if possible for several days at a time. This might mean limited access to showers at times, but also granted me some of the most amazing views – several of them more beautiful than I imagined possible.
Part of exploring a country is of course the food. I am somewhat limited to getting the full culinary experience, since I have been a vegetarian since I was 10 years old. So this means that you’ll find a list of vegetarian options in just about any place I visit.
My thirst to see the world started when I read the novels of Isabel Allende, describing South America in such exquisite colors and detail, that I just had to see it with my own eyes. After my first visit I just could not get enough. By now I have seen quite a few countries in South and Central America, South East Asia, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, and I am hoping to add a few more every year.
I am from Germany and this is also where I live and work right now. Throughout the past 16 years I had the chance to live in the US, the Netherlands, Spain and Argentina, which certainly broadened my horizon and made me want to travel even more.
I invite you to get inspired, explore and drop me a line in the comments or at email@example.com in case you have any questions.
